Guest Ranger is one of the leading fraud prevention software for short-term rentals. The days of manually verifying guests are over! Steps for integration:
1. Log in to Guest Ranger here.
2. Click Settings and click Enable OwnerRez.
3. An authorization window will appear, and you need to click Authorize Guest Ranger.
You’re done! Your OwnerRez account is now integrated with GuestRanger. Once the integration is complete, Guest Ranger will start getting new bookings and creating each session for the guest. If you need to import previous reservations, please let Guest Ranger know. After creating the session, Guest Ranger will enable the tag “Identity Pending” in OwnerRez. Once the session is completed, the tag will be replaced with any of the following tags: “Identity Verified” or “Identity Not Verified” depending on the results of the verification.
Guest Ranger will push a booking custom field code with the Guest Ranger reference code for messaging templates. Keep in mind that Guest Ranger sends the link to the guest via text at the time of booking, so sending a separate email with the reference code URL is not necessary, but it is possible. To add the field code to your messaging templates, add the following URL before the custom field code: https://app.guestranger.com/verify/, then add the field code Guest Ranger pushed into OwnerRe after. What Data is Transmitted:
- Webhooks are used to sync data instantly.
- Booking data such as guest name, guest phone number, guest email.
- Tags are pushed into OwnerRez: “Identity Verified” or “Identity Not Verified” depending on the results of the verification.
- Custom field code with Guest Ranger reference code push to OwnerRez so it can be used in email templates. Keep in mind that Guest Ranger sends the link to the guest via text at the time of booking!
