The OwnerRez Public Booking Link is available to all users and allows you to send a direct Public Booking Link to potential guests from multiple in-app places (Bookings, Inquiries, and Quotes).
Sending potential guests a Public Booking Link is a great alternative for users who don't have a hosted website but still want to accept direct bookings. Here's a reminder of what the Public Booking Link looks like for potential guests.
Potential guests can make changes to the dates and guest party details and begin the Book Now process directly from your Public Booking Link.
Here are some important things to remember about the Public Booking Link.
- The Public Booking Link is not a quote; it follows the standard built-in rules and cannot have overrides.
- The Public Booking Link will allow partners or listing channels a way to point to your live listings without you needing a website.
- If you want to override your booking rules, you will have to send a regular OwnerRez Quote.
Is the Public Booking Link available for sending to guests through OwnerRez channel messaging (Airbnb, Booking.com, and Vrbo)? Unfortunately, no.
- Luring potential guests from listing channels (Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo, etc.) to book directly with you is a violation of their terms of service that you agreed to when you listed your property on that listing channel, putting you at risk of being delisted.
- These listing channels will redact and block your Public Booking Link in their messaging systems.
How do you send a quick, direct Public Booking Link to a potential guest? There are two ways to generate that Link in-app.
Quick Quote
One quick way is to navigate to the Quick Quote tool through Tools > Quick Quote or click on the + Create Quote, + Create Booking, or Block off buttons on the Booking section. The Quick Quote pop-up allows you to generate a Public Booking Link by selecting the Public Link radio button and either choosing to Copy Link or View Link, which will open the Public Booking Link in another tab.
Quote Grid
You can also click on the dropdown lists on the Quote grid and select Copy to New Public Link.
