OwnerRez offers many different payment processing options, including the ability to accept credit cards. However, we are not a credit card processor ourselves. We integrate with many industry-standard processors and gateways, allowing you to choose your preferred processor and connect and process your guests' credit cards seamlessly.
ClearView simplifies payments for vacation rentals, RV parks, and boutique stays, with low fees and an easy setup process. While automatic deposits are unavailable with ClearView, they are considered an OwnerRez Integrated Partner, and voids, refunds, and security deposit holds are supported.

Obtain Your ClearView API Credentials
There are two ways to obtain your Clearview API Credentials (i.e., Login ID and Transaction Key) for integration.
- Option 1: Provided by Your Account Manager - Your Clearview Login ID and Transaction Key are usually created during setup and sent directly to you by your Account Manager. If you have not received them, please contact your Clearview Account Manager.
- Option 2: Retrieve Them from Your Authorize.Net Portal. If you prefer to retrieve your credentials yourself, follow these steps:
- Log in to your Authorize.Net Merchant Interface
- Click Account in the main navigation
- Under Security Settings, select API Credentials & Keys
- API Login ID (displayed on screen)
- New Transaction Key or New Signature Key, depending on your integration
- Optional) Check Disable Old Transaction/Signature Key immediately if you are replacing an older key
- Click Submit
- Verify using your account PIN
- Copy and securely store the new key (it won’t be displayed again)
Note: Your API Login ID is always visible on the API Credentials & Keys page.
- Transaction/Signature Keys must be generated manually.
- Be sure to store these keys securely and avoid sharing them publicly.
Setup & Connecting ClearView
OwnerRez connects with ClearView via the "API Credentials" model, the same as most of the processor and gateway options we integrate with. Like the other processors and gateways, you'll need to start your ClearView merchant application or log in to your ClearView account, find the API credentials, and copy them into OwnerRez in order to complete the integration.
Navigate to Settings > Financial > Payment Methods > + Connect a Payment Method > Integrated Partners > Connect ClearView.
If you haven't done so yet, start your ClearView merchant application by clicking on the link on the ClearView Payment Method. Once you've clicked to connect the ClearView payment method in OwnerRez, you will notice that we ask you for a set of two fields, called "API Credentials", at the top of the page:
- Login ID
- Transaction Key
If you already have a ClearView account, enter your Login ID and Transaction Key that ClearView has provided to you.
After entering your Login ID and Transaction Key, test your API Credentials.
Select your Accepted Card Types, enter your credit card Statement Text, select which Properties you want ClearView to use, and Save.
Business Location Requirements
ClearView accepts businesses with a business address and bank location in the following locations.
- United States
Currencies
CleaView supports the following currencies.
- CAD
- USD
Reverse My Fees Program
ClearView offers the Reverse My Fees Program, which allows you to pass a line item percentage-based surcharge on to guests compliantly within OwnerRez. For instructions on adding that percentage-based surcharge in OwnerRez, see our Credit Card Processing Fees support article.
Testing
After entering the Login ID and Transaction Key in OwnerRez, verify your credentials using the Test API Credentials button.
Click 'Run Test' to confirm the test. This sends a request to ClearView with your API credentials. OwnerRez checks ClearView's response to see if it looks right. If the test succeeded, you will see a confirmation.
To test your integration, do a test transaction with a real credit card. Create a manual booking, collect a small payment (around $5), then void the payment using the Void & Delete option, and cancel or delete the booking. This confirms everything works correctly.
