We've added a great many improvements to PM and Expenses, which I think meet the intention of this request.
The Airbnb API is now available to all, with no min-property restrictions. The only remaining need for Channel Bridge is to bring in payment information, and Airbnb has scheduled that feature to be added to the API sometime this year. Naturally, we'll support that ASAP as soon as it's available.
This being so, there doesn't look to be any real need to try to make Channel Bridge run automatically.
This isn't perfect, but it's now possible to get a report of where discount codes were used:

We added more to the Duplicate feature, was there something still missing that you were looking for?
Yes, the whole point of inactive properties is that they are not active, you are not paying for them, and thus, OwnerRez is not servicing them. It would be illogical to support reporting on them.
But, you can reactivate them at any time, and then their data will reappear in all the reports.
This has been around for awhile, guess we overlooked updating this post:

I don't see a use case here that cannot already be accomplished using triggers and custom field codes, so I don't think any development is necessary.

We currently have about 63 properties so when someone is looking at all properties they have to reload the page SIX times to see them all. Even I get bored doing that and will look elsewhere for a vacation rental. Expanding to 25 or 30 would be a big help but I would love 40. I think 25 is standard on most sites
I have a situation that I can not decide how to improve......
I want to keep a 2 night minimum. I want to minimize gap/orphan nights.
Sometimes I will get an early booking of a Monday and Tues night. Then later, I find it difficult to get my full rate for the previous weekend because my gap night prevention is forcing the latter renter to also rent Sunday night that they really don't want.
I would like a hybrid feature to consider day of week, min. nights and gap nights...automatically over-ride orphan/gap prevention keeping Fri & Sat nights available even when Sunday or Thursday might become orphan nights because Wed. and/or Mon. are already booked. This would allow keeping those weekend rates up with orphan week nights being my chosen down side. It would be great to have this gap night prevention "over-ride" occur at X days from the dates, as set by me. Thanks.
Hope this gets more votes.
With Google involved, there's no reason why this won't be a huge game changer.
Even if they start charging commission later, it will probably be competitive and even if it's not... more bookings is a good thing.
Could we please have a simple notes field in the API settings page?
My scenario. I have an overall uplift percentage on Booking.com but one property on the API is in a very competitive market so I don't want the same increase. As booking.com doesn't do discounts via the API I have a promotion of 5% set directly in the Booking dashboard. It would be really helpful to be able to make a note of this in the OR API settings as it is highly likely I will have forgotten my setup in 6 months' time.
If the rates are anywhere close to what they are asking for on their website I'm a hard no. We already have damage insurance through OR. I don't need a background check. Just the ability to upload an ID.
Ditto. I don't need any complicated ID verification service, just the ability for the guest to upload a photo of their ID as part of the rental agreement signing process and have that image file be put in the 'files' section of theor reservation. I'll then manually look at it and make sure it's matches the reservation.
Sure, there are additional layers of functionality I'd like to see, but the basic feature described above is what I most need. So starting with developing that would be great, then as time allows, have the developers expand the feature's functionality to include things like the ability to set a flag that the ID has been uploaded, a flag that the ID has been verified, etc. and have automated emails be based on those flags.
This will be a service provided by Safely - it should be announced in our blog later this month.
I would not be on board with paying for yet another 3rd party solution. I feel like add on fees for something that is as simple as a guest uploading a photo of the ID wouldn't be worth it. In the summer I'm looking at 4-5 max per month so paying an extra monthly fee for that wouldn't be something I would be willing to do.
Ken,
Do you have more info on this upcoming partial solution?
Thanks,
Steph Schnitker
Unfortunately, this is not possible. It would be misleading, because in most cases we have no way of knowing what the credit card fees are. We also don't necessarily know that we do or don't know what all the credit card fees are, so it wouldn't even be possible to add a definitive warning. It would be kind of guesswork, which wouldn't be terribly helpful I'm afraid.
I would be fine with a simple photo upload that we verify ourselves. A simple solution would be the ability to email the uploaded photo to the host for quick review. And if that proves too difficult, a simple upload that goes into the booking “files” would be plenty. I would prefer not have to pay for an expensive 3rd party verification service if possible. The image alone would be fine for us in most cases.
Thanks Ken!
Because of its inherent complexity, this feature is unlikely in the near future.
However, we do have an alternative partial solution that will be available shortly - a third party integration that offers an advanced property insurance product, as well as actual verification of guest IDs.
Similar to the {BTHOSTFEE} email field could we have a placeholder that displays the value LESS any credit card fees. It would be nice to have one field that will always display the OTA commission.
Any word on the progress of this, by far the very most popular feature request?

Hi BlueMtnCabins,Yes, in theory. Triggers for quotes would allow you to send SMS messages and all quote-related field codes (of which the quote link is one) would be available and work for SMS as well as email.

Triggers use the same underlying logic, so once you're able to trigger for quotes, you'll be able to trigger any of the possible template types (email, SMS, etc).True but if a guest gives an address in a particular country then it would be reasonable to assume they speak that language. Not perfect but it's going to be right around 95% of the time. Time well worth saving.
Unfortunately, you would have to manually add tags anyway, as we don't have an automatic means of determining what language a given guest wants to use.

Thanks Ken. Ideally I,m trying to automate this without manually adding tags. All it would need would be to make the country database field available to the triggers. Or maybe a language field.
