Is there any way to sell gift certificates through OwnerRez?

Any update on gift certificates or the ability to text when you get a booking?

You know you can set up discount codes? Maybe set up unique discount codes and use that way.

OwnerRez also not currently provide a method to track the usage of "gift certificates (meaning using discount codes as gift certificates)." You would need to track them yourself, such as via an Excel spreadsheet, and remember to manually disable the codes as they are used.

Is it possible to set a number of uses for a discount code?  Our old system had a limit field you would specify when setting it up (either a number or no limit).  Then if limit 1, and used 1, it disabled it.  Maybe that's the feature request?

@Caleb @Ken, I currently use GiftUp https://www.giftup.com/ for my gift certificates. They do integrate with a number of PMS's.  What is the best way to connect them with OR? They've been great to work with.  Thanks!   

Have you figured out a way to integrate giftup with OwnerRez? Or some roundabout way to make it work?

Thanks for the post! Giftup looks pretty interesting. I noticed they list an integration with Stripe. I'm wondering if that is a possible backdoor way to use Giftup until OR gets its own integration?

If you are in contact with someone on the Giftup team, you can give them our email address help@ownerrez.com to reach out about an integration. OwnerRez has an Open API that their dev team could write to, and if they have questions we can get them in touch with one of the engineers. 

This would not be a backdoor method, because that requires use of the Stripe Checkout system which is not compatible to OwnerRez. Giftup's integration to Stripe is primarily as a payment processor to sell the gift cards.

I have not seen it tried, but a possible workaround would be using Zapier. Both OwnerRez and Giftup have integrations with Zapier, but I don't know if either have the necessary capabilities to fully cross-link the two.
