Hey everyone-
My wife and I are new to OwnerRez and just starting to get rolling. We bought our townhouse in West Dover, VT (Mount Snow) in September 2020 and until this month- used a local property manager to handle the AirBNB/VRBO listings for it.
After a watching to see how this worked, we decided it might be something that would make sense running ourselves. We are going to give OwnerRez a shot in order to be able to setup/automate AirBNB + VRBO + hosting a website for direct bookings.
It seems like a very active community of owners/users of OR, and we're looking forward to learning from all of you!
Thanks!

Hello everyone.
I am new to Owner Rez. I have 2 properties which I manage myself.
I am trying to get up to speed listing these properties.
I am also trying to figure out a way to create a web listing of these properties. HELP.
Which forum is the one for new owners hoping to get up to speed very quickly.
Is there also a way to analyze my listing to see how it rates as compared to other listings in my community.
Glad to be here.
Keith
Hi Tonya,
Glad to have you aboard! Please feel free to write in to the Helpdesk if you run into questions that you can't find here in the Forums.
I manage 32 properties in PCB and have been doing "Old School" bookkeeping with Excel Sreadsheets. It's time for an update! I specifically want to make a website. I will be asking lots of questions! :)
I’m new and am converting my family cottage into a vacation rental. Due to my full time job, trying to automate with OR as much as possible. A new professional website is being developed but here’s something basic I made up on godaddy.com. Www.middlelakevacations.com
Pacific View Lodging operates 3 small boutique type motel properties (26 individual rental units) on the central and northern Oregon Coast. We actually found OR by accident after a failing implementation with another property management software. We are happy to say that within about 1 week from our initial inquiries and start that we were able to get all of our properties up and operation on the 3 major channels (Air/Booking/VRBO) and that we were able to hit the ground running with very little hiccup... Unlike the previous implementation where we were nearly 5 weeks in and still did not have operational channels. (Realize that this is probably not the norm and we spent a huge number of hours but we did so with just a little bit of assistance from support which says a whole lot about the software itself and it's ease of use and flexibility.
Support has been great to work with. We look forward to a long partnership with the team at OR.
We are very pleased with our experience with Owner Rez and the support we have received.
Our rental idea was conceived prior to Covid and ran behind our schedule of opening by almost 3 months.
Our rental is a passive solar home in a rural setting in the Ozark Plateau region of Arkansas. Our website
is www.stayozark.com
I have learned so much from reading online forums from seasoned owners and managers over the last 10
months. Thank you all.
Regards,
Mariette and David Spidel
Glad to have you and welcome!
Hello to all on OR. I'm a newbie on OR. Just got started and already love the feel, look and ease of everything. The videos and step-by-step instructions and support has been great. Our home is in South Oceanside, California. Looking forward to getting rolling!
Howdy! I would love to ask you a few questions about that part of Colorado! Not sure how we can get in touch. If you would like you can email me at info@texomaluxuryrentals.com
You can use the Search button in the main Support Docs area - it searches the forums too.
If you look on your Houfy control panel in your list of properties, the listing number is shown prominently there.
Once you've set up the Houfy API in OwnerRez, you need to email their support desk and ask them to activate the connection from their end.
Hi, I just got started with OwnerRez a few weeks ago. Just wondering if there is a way to search the forum for answers?
I see a way to add a topic but I can't seem to find a search button.
Right now I am trying to connect my account with Houfy but not sure how I find the Houfy listing number. Or if I just start a Houfy listing, then plug that number in to the change property mappings section? How do I get OwnerRez info to push over to it? Thanks.
Hi Michelle and Andrew
I’m in Diamond Beach, just north of Forster. We’re almost backyard neighbours!
What are your properties/ website?
I’ve been with Ownerrez a couple of years now - and still slowly stepping my way through things (including a major move from xero to Quickbooks so it will all integrate) but it’s definately been a good move. I’ve also put another friend at Pacific Palms onto OR too
Feel free to touch base anytime
Regards
Dianne

Hi Laurie,
Welcome!
The search bar under the Support menu will search support articles, videos, forum posts and blog posts combined. You can also narrow it down to just one of those.

How do we search for a topic on the forum? For example...I want to see how or if OwnerRez interacts and pulls the info from Houfy. So is there a place I can search with Keyword "Houfy"? Or if I want to find anything on any topic....how do I search around?
Hi everyone! Excited about joining Ownerrez as we have heard so much about it.
We live and have holiday rentals in the beautiful, water wonderland of Port Stephens, Australia.
Any other Aussies or Kiwis? Would love to hear from you!

I'm not techy or very smart for that matter so this ain't easy, but I'm looking at like I'm creating a one hit wonder song and once it's done the paychecks will just roll on in . I'm looking forward to some tips. Anyone have a guide on computer programmer to English translation ?
Thanks so much, Lydia! I joined the FB group yesterday so will see you there!
Hey there, Dewey Beach! Don't give up! If you stick with it you'll love it. It's a tough learning curve, but it will make life easier.
May I suggest you join the Facebook group called "Unofficial OwnerRez Support Group." Lots of info and helpful folks on there.
Yes - you can use Channel Bridge on just one property.
You may have trouble importing some formatting. Per OR: We include a default renter agreement in your account. To create or update your own agreements, go to Settings > Legal Agreements. You can create as many agreements as you like. You can either start from the default agreement and customize it, or paste in the text of your agreement, or upload your existing MS Word format agreement. If your existing agreement is heavily formatted, it may be easier to paste in the text only (using Ctrl+Shift+V) and add formatting in the OwnerRez editor.
Can't help with "seasons" from Houfy. Sorry.
See you on Facebook!
I am starting my trial for my one vacation rental in Dewey Beach. Wow - there is a lot to do to set this up. I didn't expect it to be so daunting and I'm pretty tech savvy. Any tips for streamlining the onboarding process?
So far, I've run into difficulty as follows:
-not sure whether I can use channel bridge with just one property
-importing my rental agreement resulted in a formatting nightmare. Any way to import so formatting stays intact from the Word doc?
-is there any way to import seasons for rates from Houfy?
I haven't even started looking at email templates yet!
Feeling overwhelmed.
Thanks so much, Rich! I hope others see that they can do it, too.

Hello everyone! My name is Jane and I have two properties in Fort Lauderdale. I've been doing this for 5 years and have now finally created my own website. I look forward to being part of this community!

I am not sure what you are asking for - to set up ownerrez or to make a website? or both?
I have figured ownerrez out on my own over time, I have 3 properties. I have built my own website using generic website host company and ownerrez widgets (this was before ownerrez started offering to build entire websites).
In either case, you need to have ownerrez set up properly for each property you have( including calendar sync, property amenities, rates etc).
after that, if you decide to use ownerrez to build a website - it should be fairly easy.
If you will decide to have a 3rd party website and have ownnerrez widgets integrated, that is fairly easy too for any website person (as mentioned, I did my own).
But 1st step is to set up ownerrez.
Then decide who will be your credit card processor (ownerrez has a list of ones that they integrate with but they cannot decide that for you which one you want).
After you have decided, you sign up with that processor and obtain credentials for embedding into ownerrez.
Then test your payment by running example $1 transaction.
Hi, Tim! Welcome! Home many places do you have?
welcome . Where is your lodge in New York. I am looking for a weekend getaway from New York City.
Tim
HI everyone.
I am just curious if i am the only PM who is using OZ in New York City.
Tim
Welcome. I did not hire anyone and I did my own website. Ownerrez can help create and host fully bookable site for you - you just need to fill out your property(s) info first. Did you know you can also import your Airbnb or Vrbo listing into this software?
In any case, you can look at may help topic or reach out to support.
