Hi Paul, could you give us a heads up about the development of Zapier integration? Any news to share?
Thanks! Julia
Would love to have ability to insert dynamic content from custom field values into Property Description, Short Description
and individual Property pages Intro and Conclusion sections
Use case 1 :
Booking phone number displayed on Property Description details and Short Description.
Store the phone number ONE PLACE in custom fields
Display the phone number by inserting {PXPHONENUM} in HTML editor on Description edit mode
Use Case 2:
Display the phone number by inserting {PXPHONENUM} in HTML editor on INTRO and CONCLUSION on individual Property page i.e. /<property_name> page
Hi Amz,
This is in the works, so marking your post as Planned. It should be out a bit later this year!

I'm not sure if this is mentioned here. I know I emailed support to ask about it and was told it was not in the works, and then someone else replied that it was. It would be nice to have an option for either white-label or not.
Hi, is Zapier anywhere on the road map yet?
It will be super useful!
Thanks!
Julia
Filtering for pet fee or finding a way to see if people with pets have paid the fee and submitted the pet addendum would be super helpful. I'd love to know how to integrate docusign or similar service to this.
We actually have a dual commission rate system where if RENTAL RATE < AMT, COMM=X ELSE Y
Due to this on statement generation day I find myself changing commissions.
This could be resolved by implementing a variable commission rate.
Has there been any other interest in such a capability?
Ascent also has great eCheck options. I only use eChecks for all my direct bookings. Not only huge savings on CC fees but greatly reduces chargeback risk. Would love to be able to do through OR.
I am coming from Vacation Rental Desk platform, which is a less sophisticated platform than OR. But they are able to process electronic check with Yapstone. I would really like to continue offering this to my guests. It's easy, and relatively no fees associated. My whole purpose of going to OR was for MORE automation. I am dreading completing all of my bookings that already have electronic check on file manually. I assumed the bigger smarter platform would have this feature, if the little guys are doing it.
It doesn't need to be the guest running the electronic check payment... they could put their account info in and the amount, and submit it to OR. I could run it, once received if that is the problem. But it could be another form of payment on file. Vacation Rental desk requires a c.card for the damage protection. And the guest can choose a different primary payment method.
I would switch to any processor that OR would make this integration with!
I have a need to put a warning on my Vrbo listing... Because scammers are rampant on Facebook... Vrbo listings are getting stolen by scammers using them on facebook... and people are getting scammed by communicating only via facebook. The only way I have protected guests from this, is to put special text in the Headline and Description on Vrbo. Vrbo will not let me put a text or watermark on photos. I really need to be able to edit these separately from the OR website.
***You MUST message me via VRBO to confirm your booking for this VRBO listing. My calendar is up to date.*** I DO NOT USE a Property Manager. And I DO NOT USE this VRBO link on Facebook.
You mean, temporarily hide the listing on Airbnb?

How do I snooze a listing on airbnb and still communicate with guests but have the listing "hidden"?
Thank you for your help!
Has this feature been released yet? I'd like to disallow guests from checking out on Saturdays.
You can already disable Saturday check-out directly on the Property > Rules, or per Season. This request is for blocking check-out on a Holiday and/or specific date.

Hi Doug! This follow-up feature is in testing and will be released later this Spring! Stay tuned.

I'm so glad we now have automatic reviews on Airbnb! I was wondering if we could add one more feature to that, an automatic delayed bad review.
If we have a bad guest, it would be great if we could just click a button that says "Bad Review". That would delay the sending of the review until the very last minute of the 14 day review period, thus, eliminating the chance of a retaliatory review. This is something that one of our competitors has, and it works great.
I actually think this is kind of ingenious. It's still a legal agreement that they have to read and sign, but by calling it "Online Check-In," it makes it seem far less scary and more like a benefit ot them ("Sign this for YOUR convenience so you can go directly to the property instead of setting up a time to meet us in-person, etc.").
I might actually implement this in my communications with guests!
Currently one has to look in several areas to see all of the communications with a guest / Inquiry.
Can you please consolidate the conversations so that you can see them all in one place and in a format that is more like an email program (GMail preferred) rather than in a nonstandard OR system?
I think that this is the weakest part of OR. This has come up every time I try and train a new associate in how to use OwnerRez.
Also - it would be good to remove the Header as it takes up a lot of the visible space in the box so that you have to scroll every message to see what is being said. Some toggle on-off images perhaps.

And then the Ower Notes which contains a start of a conversation entered at time of booking
"At the time of booking, the guest commented:
may add on an additional 4 -5 people later. let me know how and when to do so."

Thank you. All of my owners use this functionality.
Great suggestions! We have plans to make the comparison and view options much better, so we'll factor in those ideas.
No, they don't appear to have any interest in this. We've done some research into ways to get it, perhaps using Channel Bridge, but haven't come up with a solution fit for general use as of yet.
At the very least, you could add it as an automated recurring expense for all bookings on that channel (configured via the settings). The VRBO pay per book commission always comes out to exactly the sum of my base rate and my cleaning fee times 5%. So it’s pretty easy to just automatically do the math and calculate what it should be.

For that matter, even for payment methods that don’t support merchant fee reporting (that is, everything that is not stripe), an automatic configurable (I would use 3%) expense would be an amazing timesaver.
Both of these things should be able to be configured on a per-property basis, since some of my clients I don’t charge a credit card transaction fee expense, and some of my properties are on a VRBO subscription.

Any chance Vrbo is also working on adding channel fee transmittal functionality via the API like other platforms do? Currently it’s the only channel where we have to manually add the channel fee as an expense.
Still no ETA, but we had another meeting with their dev team this week, as they refine their designs. So, yeah, it's slow, but they're definitely on the move.
Would love to see a few changes to the owners portal.
1. Written verbage about what the owner is seeing. Or allow us to select an option for client portal (full gross bookings, owner view). Then have that selection input information for the owner. This is the Full gross of all bookings. Or... This is the owners income after taxese and prededucted amounts.
2. Changes to the occupancy rates showing 12 months instead of 11 also showing year-to-date, for example 2021-March to 2020-March.
Thank you
Lindsay
This custom field would be helpful, as my check in details are automatically sent when the renter agreement is signed, so my auto reminder just before arrival could include: “please find our check-in details email that was sent on {SIGNEDDATE}”
That's fantastic news! Appreciate the update, keep them cmning!
Have been researching this opportunity and would also like to see integration with Google. It would definitely provide further independence from big OTAs.
