Custom Fields Enhancement

I've seen a lot of requests for various enhancements surrounding custom fields. I would like the ability to specify field length and type i.e. text or numeric. For example, a custom "age" field would be numeric and max of 3 digits. I have many guests entering their name in the age field. (People don't read) Other requests that I have seen are for toggles, buttons and drop downs, and for the custom fields to be accessible elsewhere. Maybe these various custom field enhancement requests could be complied together into one project.

I agree that the custom fields need some improvement. Just allowing the guest to respond with open text is too risky. As we (owners) design our custom fields, we should be able to choose how we want our guests to respond. Similar to designing a questionnaire using google forms. For example, in my case, I just want to simple yes/no response if the guest wants to opt in to the "pool heat" add-on for their booking.

  1. Yes / No (or a toggle/ dropdown, as mentioned above). 
  2. Multiple choice, where only one option can be selected (w/ radio buttons). Could also be a dropdown.
  3. Multiple choice, select all that apply (w/ checkboxes).
  4. Calendar date selection. 
  5. Numeric response.
  6. Short form text. This option would restrict characters to a certain length.
  7. Long form text. No restriction on user response - this is what we have currently.

Low hanging fruit are 1, 2, and 5. I think we already have #7, unless there is indeed a character limit that I'm unaware of. Controlling how the user responds will help us, owners, be able to set up tag automations & message triggers with more confidence since we'll force guests to respond the "correct" way. This is really important and will help simplify our management duties.
