Could we please have a trigger for the exact day of the week ideal for trash collection reminders and other day specific tasks.

Yes, But a day of week trigger could be used for many things.

It would also be nice if we could specify "Every" or "1st", "2nd", "3rd", "4th" occurrence of that day of the week in a month. For example I'd use that to remind guests on the first Thursday of the month to please let the Orkin guy in to do his pest control treatment.
100% agreed. This could be useful for several events like trash, mowing days, etc.

No updates yet, but we're tracking it.
FYI - it is not easy to do. It requires an entirely different timing/sending mechanism than how triggers currently work. Triggers currently work based on booking times and proximity (arrival, departure, created dates). Each trigger is attached to a booking and relies on that booking being in a certain arrived/departed type status. This request (for day of week messages) involves an outside recurring calendar time that has nothing to do with bookings.
To have a trash bin reminder feature would be SO useful. It could be easy to add something similar to Holidays, where you can indicate the trash day of the week and then be able to create a trigger using trash days to send out emails a number of days before the trash day.
This would be a great feature- Trash is one of my biggest challenges/ concerns.
Please we need this!! Trash bits a big issue when we don't remind guests to take it out

I use clicksend.com to send my sms texts via OR and for bin collection reminders use schedule emails in OR . Works well.
With clicksend you send text messages by sending an email to the guest mobile number eg 07123456789@sms.clicksend.com. so anywhere in OR that you can send an email you can send a text.

Hi, I'm following this thread and I also switched from Guesty for hosts, it was very glitchy for me and a lack of support. There are a few things I'll miss but overall I'm finding OR a better product than guesty for hosts anyway.
It still attached to the booking. If there is a guest on a Tuesday night send garbage disposal message. If there is no one at the listing, no booking.. then there is no trigger.
