Simple "Print PDF Receipt" in Guest's Booking

I'm looking for a button that would allow an admin to print a simple receipt for the guest. There are many scenarios where the receipt is asked for, just like at a hotel, and sending the receipt via email isn't appropriate. Additionally, printing a receipt by using the email template for "send receipt" does not look professional with the email header and removing the email header is incredibly time consuming.

Lastly, please improve the "print receipt" button in transactions, for example, when making a first payment. When you print that receipt the Fee portion is so incredibly large, and the guest name/date info/property info is so tiny on the top.

Hi Becca. I noticed you asked this a year ago with no response. I'm needing the very same thing... and SURPRISE, still the same! So I've been messing with this thing for a while. This seems so basic and can't understand why this would not have been rectified at this point.

I actually just asked this a few days ago, I just switched all my rentals to Owner Rez. I guess their dating system is off on this forum. It's a pain to achieve getting a clear printable receipt and every time I've asked via the help email and in their weekly chats they have responded to me like I'm crazy for needing such a button. Incredibly frustrating for me considering all Owner Rez users are in business and business owners need receipts for all the things! You go to a hotel and get a print out receipt, why wouldn't this software offer that?

It's not likely that adding our own PDF generation capability would be a priority, both because as you noted, this suggestion has been around for a year and only garnered a handful of votes, and also, because every browser has the ability to print, and most every OS provides a Print-to-PDF driver.  So anything we display can easily be made into a PDF.

I'm not clear on why the Transaction display is not suitable as a receipt via Print-to-PDF?  Seems to me like that would do the job.  This is a rare corner case, so it doesn't need to be super fancy, does it?

Printing a receipt from the Transaction does not allow for your logo to be on it and the fee section is extremely large, which looks very unprofessional. Additionally, no company contact info and very few details on the guest's reservation. The guests name, dates, and property are not very obvious at the top of the print out. A receipt is the final interaction with a customer and to give an unprofessional receipt that lacks a logo, contact info, complete information, etc. isn't the way I want my last interaction to be.

The OwnerRez system has long just emailed guests their Payment Received System Messages (which keeps the process fully automated for users), including a user's theming if they have it set up (w/ logos and/or contact info) whether in the header and/or footer. If you click the Send Email button, it will not show the Theming included. It gets added upon sending of the Email.

Users can also customize the System Message overriding it with a Custom Template to include additional info as needed - which looks like you've done quite a bit with the System Messages.

You can look in your Communication History under Tools menu to see all the Payment Received emails that were sent to guests and you'll notice all your Theming info is included (which looks to just be in the Footer).

So how would you print a customer a professional-looking receipt when asked, either for a transaction or all payments? Emailing is many times not applicable. I’ve found two ways and they don’t produce a professional receipt. Printing from a transaction payment is gives an incredibly basic page, lacking any logo or company information. Printing from an email includes the email to/from/subject header. 

Why is this so complicated to create? I’m basically asking for an email template, minus the email to/from/subject lines, that uses codes to populate the information.

I have been getting the same request from guests. They are looking for a printable pdf style receipt with logo, company name and invoicing details.

I made a receipt from the data generated in the billings summary email. What was missing was the property information, location and logo. I think a simple receipt using data already available would be a great feature to add.

Personally I would add PDF to billings template and always send after payment was received.

I would like to reiterate how important creating a printable receipt feature is. I am still struggling to find a way to be able to print a receipt for my guests that shows both deposit and final payment, as well as rent charges and taxes. The only way around this is to email myself a copy of a Payment Received templated email and then print it from my email - talk about cumbersome!

I don't necessarily need a specific "print to PDF" function, BUT there currently is no way to send guests a nicely-formatted receipt showing their charges and payments. A version of this is emailed to the guest when payments are processed, but there's no way for me as the manager to pull something similar separate from running a charge and sending a receipt. That would be a useful function, especially if the page could be designed to then be printed in the browser in a nice format.

I have asked for the same thing last year.   The basic function any business needs  is send invoices /receipts and collect payment. Owner Rez doesn't get we need a basic function.  So frustrating.

Still needing this receipt function. Owner Rez's menu change from the top bar to a drop down side bar has made printing a receipt even more difficult in some window views. Now, the side menu bar appears and you have to go find a different method of printing that receipt that doesn't show the side bar. This is such a simple additional that would save some users so much time.

I am looking for something similar--a guest asked for a confirmation to help get through immigration.  I sent the email confirmation but as mentioned in the thread it is not professional looking, headers, etc.  Would be nice to generate a professional looking printable confirmation and receipt on demand.  OwnerRez could add their own tagline at the bottom "Property professionally managed using OwnerRez" as additional exposure/free advertising!
