I have a few properties and I manage others for other people. Right now I have a single Hosted Website with multiple properties.
I'd like to connect each of the properties up with Google Vacation Rentals
I would like to use each of the per-property subpages on my Hosted Website to link to Google Vacation Rentals. Can I do this or do I need to set up a separate site for each property along with new domain names?
If I do need to make them into individual sites, can I use subdomains, such that Property 1 goes to property1.domainname.com, Property 2 goes to property2.domainname.com, etc.?
I could be interested in just using OR's Global Landing Page, but I can't actually find a live version anywhere to test it out. Does someone have a link to one?
Answers, thoughts, suggestions welcome, thanks.
You must choose either your OwnerRez hosted website or the OwnerRez global landing page for your Google Vacation Rentals (GVR) listing Landing Page.
A hosted website generally directs the user to the Property URL which is setup in each Properties > General Info page.
A Global Landing Page sample can be seen here:

Each property would have it's own Global Landing page, which would look similar and have the property details on the right:
Thanks Adria, in the end I just set up a Hosted Website for each property and gave each its own domain name. Because I started with a multiple-property page, I'm now geting GVR error messages when I try to integrate via API with GVR. I've sent in a ticket a few days ago to help sort that out, though I haven't yet heard back.
Undercard_Wonder's response above is now months old. As no update has been published I am concerned about our own multi-Ownerrez Hosted website situation. I am wondering what the current status is of this issue. We are actively considering using GVR, and how best to do so. We, similar to Undercard_Wonder, have multiple, distinct Ownerrez Hosted Websites, one for each of our (currently) eight properties. Each has its own domain name. So given my reading of the current Ownerrez documentation on the subject of GVR implementation and its most effective use, I am quite confused. The choice seems to be either to use the Ownerrez Public Booking Link - or - use an Ownerrez Hosted Website. But we have eight of them! Which one do we use?
When we first began implementing our Ownerrez Hosted websites, GVR simply was not on the horizon. Now I am concerned that one of the choices will be to completely rethink and redo our in-place Ownerrez Hosted website implementation strategy. I have not seen enough of the functionality of the OwnerRez Public Booking Link. I do not know how it would function within our multi-property situation, how it would handle our eight properties successfully using GVR. I am looking for an explanation of the Ownerrez Booking Link and how it works in a multiple property situation. Where do I go for guidance on this matter? How can I get either some demonstration of how best to do this, or advice on how we need to modify our current Hosted website implementations to take advantage of the GVR Channel links?
Any and all advice will be seriously considered and gratefully accepted.
Hey skinorth,
If each listing has its own Hosted Website, you have two options here. You can either do eight separate GVR connections, one for each Hosted Website, or you can do one connection that uses the Global Landing Page (GLP) for all listings. Note that once one GVR connection has been established, OwnerRez support must open the additional connections you need one by one if you're using the Hosted Websites as the landing pages, so you'd need to write to help@ownerrez.com so we can get those opened up for you.
More info on the GLP, if you're interested in just having one GVR connection for all listings, can be found here: https://www.ownerrez.com/support/articles/google-vacation-rentals-common-issues-questions#global-landing-page
It's also worth mentioning that the GLP is instant book only. If you need request to book as opposed to instant book, the only way to make that happen would be to use your Hosted Websites as the landing page for this connection. Then, your website's booking widget configurations will apply.
