...most obsessive attention to detail. I take that seriously. I'm naturally a problem-solver, an over-communicator, and unapologetically detail-oriented, because in this line of work, sweating the small stuff prevents the big stuff. What advice would you give to new short-term rental operators?

Decide early what kind of operator you want to be, and build around that. There's a difference between chasing...

OwnerRez has created some solutions to help everyone get started as you review your Manually Record Deposits (https...

Make sure broken stuff is actually acknowledged and addressed.

Let's face it - knobs and dishes break, walls get dented and scratched, towels and sheets get stained. And even worse than having to fix these things is not...

We've also added comment capability to the update history so you can let us know what you think when stuff happens. As with the blog, the comment capability is available via the forums under...

So stuff like your FAQ or Availability page won't have a star rating on them when they come up in Google search results.

Great idea, Heroes.  We have a bunch of stuff coming out around the guest forms and guest experience, leading to internationalization and language settings.  We had not talked about the currency thing, but you're right - we could incorporate a setting to "show in different currency" which gives a good estimate of what it will be, even though the actual processing is in a different currency.

...s...  Thanks for your candor!  I appreciate your frustration, believe me, and 2022 was supposed to be "the year of accounting" over here.  We've had a lot of meetings about it and tasked out a lot of stuff.  Frankly, we continue growing on many fronts and have had to tackle some major PM and Channel work along with some dev-ops and sys-ops stuff to handle the growth.  We pride ourselves on having solid...

Look at the FontAwesome stuff. There's a zillion of them and they are better than icons - they're actually web "fonts" so you can increase their size or color perfectly by just specifying HTML attributes.

I highly recommend talking to Ximplify who we started partnering with for accounting stuff awhile back. We push PMs, large and small, in their direction. Good folks over there who know how to use OwnerRez, QuickBooks and a lot more . We are working with them a lot on expanding our QB integration to many more things and change accounting models to be more correct in general.

We got delayed on this because our HomeAway API integration took a bit longer than expected. That's in beta now and releasing in a couple weeks, so the SMS stuff will be coming very soon!

True. But the ARDI coverage here is $20 for $1000. This is $29 for $10,000 plus a lot of other stuff.

HomeAway is trying to get people to elect $49 pdp. This is much better compared to that.

...sheets, etc - all are never more than a few hundred bucks at most. Having 10 grand of coverage is pointless if you never use all that.

PS. Our regular HOI insurance on the houses covers really big stuff with a 500/1000 deductible (and short term renter/liability is specifically mentioned as a named coverage) so anything that would be 10 grand we can cover with that.

I'll have a look at this. Can you send me the link for the VRBO iCal in question? I believe they're changing up some stuff with that sync, so we may need to adapt on our end.

We're not quite finished with this release but you'll be back up and running in a day or so. We're in the process of releasing all the new stuff now.

    Awesome!

Yep, on the logged in site on your booking area it only searches the bookings and stuff in your account.

To search support articles, forums, and blog posts, use the search box in the support area: Yes, we know we need to put that at the top of the screen here :-)
