  • ...rrez.com/vacation-rental-channel-manager best channel manager in the vacation rental industry, we do a lot of work on monitoring and improving our channel connections. While we can't work on channel stuff every week, we constantly make notes so that we can jump on improvements when the time allows. Not a month goes by when we aren't making channel updates. In this release, we hit a couple of things w...

  • ...you, this will be a huge time-save and bring a lot of value to your existing OwnerRez account. 2023 Roadmap

So what does the future look like at OwnerRez? More of the same, but also more of other stuff!

    * PM and Accounting work are continuing at full speed. I documented the deposit and Airbnb stuff above, but we are also working on delivering a Year-End report for PMs/Owners before the end of 20...

OwnerRez has created some solutions to help everyone get started as you review your Manually Record Deposits (https...

  • ...I'm talking about these things:

    https://uc.orez.io/w/files/3b769aeed3af48f49c51ed62fd491e1f

Yep, those things. And yes, we've known about it too. To make matters worse, as you keep clicking stuff, new pop-over cards would open even though the old ones didn't close. You had to click on the same link as before to close a single card. We finally had enough and fixed this. It is much easier no...

  • ...dditional call. Pretty sweet, right!

One of the high-level goals of the 2.0 API is to reduce chatter and provide a more-functional interface for developers. In other words, we want you to do more stuff with fewer calls. This approach of mixing in tags and fields achieves that because, as a partner, you can request booking data and see the tags and fields for that booking at the same time without m...

Have you been annoyed by any door lock stuff recently? Well, we have! We've been building a list of stuff to tweak, and this past week we knocked out a bunch of it.

First, we noticed a situation where you couldn't set a manual code on a blo...

  • I understand tech issues happen and I do appreciate your candor and explanation here.  That said, we lost three potential bookings and had airbnb suspend several of our listings.  Stuff happens and I'm not here to pile on, but this is pretty concerning.  I look forward to hearing specifically what steps will be made to try and prevent this from happening again.  Meanwhile, many of us lost revenue becau...
  • Glad to see the portal feature.  That's been an issue with my business partners who were used to looking at pricing and occupancy on our previous system (while not having the ability to mess stuff up).  Looking forward to the granular access and read only features for them and the Staff/Cleaner function.  Would be great to have a report/portal access that says "Property A guests stay from B to C with D...
  • PriceLabs has a feature to dynamically adjust your night gaps based on criteria you set.

Don't get it for that feature alone, the dynamic pricing and market pricing info will pay for itself in spades. The gap management and other stuff is icing on the cake.

  • ...r 2, the agency only gets commission on 2. TAs sort of take it in the shirt either way, but it is how it has historically been done.

Vrbo really shouldn't be able to grab additional commission on stuff not booked through them. Maybe the OR team needs to go back to Vrbo and bring this up in light of how commissions work with other parts of the travel industry? Ultimately, it's OR that reports the re...

  • Any update on this?

PM and Accounting work are continuing at full speed.  I documented the deposit and Airbnb stuff above, but we are also working on delivering a Year-End report for PMs/Owners before the end of 2022.

  • Surely there’s some way we could turn on a fee calculation that auto populates for VRBO bookings. This repetitive manual stuff is so 2010.
  • Love the OR crew!  Thanks for working through all the mirad of cascading issues and for taking time away from your vacation to set things right.  Stuff happens its what you do when the _____ hits that fan that matters.  Great example for all of us OR.  Kuddos!
  • ...astically together.  It may make it a little more difficult to investigate your competition's pricing, but it's just a toggle switch away to see where their fees are.

The cleaning checklist stuff, I'm guessing will be a separate section of either checkboxes or a generic "low, medium, high" with vague definitions for people to fill in.

  • ...sync and OwnerRez will add a "full sync" of everything to the channel queue.  However, the full resync will wait in line behind everything else.

So what will happen is all of a sudden all of your stuff will update, both the waiting changes from before and the full resync.

Unless there's a significant and pressing issue, I would wait a bit longer and check later in the evening (or overnight, dep...

  • I would love to start putting the daily checklist and date range checklist to better use, but there is so much extra stuff on there that we don't need. Such as owner name, cleaning date, guest email, etc. Could these columns be checkboxes when we run the report, similar to tags and custom fields, and we could uncheck them if we don't want the info?
