I found a post on Facebook where someone suggested that they're able to market an early, check into Guest at a discounted rate and I would like to figure out a way to implement this using on orez.

Easy way to bring in some additional earnings from current guests.

  • If there's an available night at the beginning of a guest's reservation, ask them if they would like to check-in a day early for a discounted rate.
  • If there's an available night at the end of a guest's reservation, ask them if they would like to extend their stay by a day for a discounted rate.

You might be surprised by how many people take you up on that offer! We automate these messages through our PMS system and just update the discounted rate as needed.

Here's an example of our messaging for this:

Hi Jordan,

Just wanted to let you know we have some extra availability in case you wanted to check in a night early at a 20% discount. Here are the details:

If you want to come earlier, we have an availability the night of Friday, April 5th. Standard rate $114/night. We'd offer it to you for $91/night.

Let me know if you're interested and look forward to hosting you!

I do it if there is a gap night after departure
this is an email - i send a channel message on Airbnb if there is a gap night

If there isn't a gap night it sends the normal checkout instructions

Edit. I see from the picture that this is possible. Thank you for sharing that!

How could we automate payment collection and the modification of the booking? Is this something you were doing also?
