We have added some pictures that include text because it really helps with common questions, and some people don't read descriptions but will read short text in the photos.
We have two sets of photos with text. The first is a floor plan. The second is a group of photos going over amenities in rooms. I know this is included in the description, but we have found some guests just don't like reading that much text and consume the information best this way.
However, the text photos violate VRBO's terms of service. However, they are permissible on Airbnb.
So the suggestion is to limit certain photos to not transfer over to every platform. I could limit these text photos to just Airbnb and the website.
Agreed. I am in the same boat with floorplan images and one image with listed nearby activities that VRBO will not allow. I'd like them to be within the first few images on Airbnb but cannot do this or else they will get pulled for VRBO. It would also be nice to choose which images get pulled for VRBO and which for Airbnb so I can control the order better as well.
+1 to this feature request. I jumped on the forum searching for the same thing.
VRBO sends audit failure notifications daily while I have photos containing text. I want to be able to edit the photo list and toggle which OTA or all OTAs.

Thanks for your consideration!
