Ahh, the secret is out! Yep, this went out in a release over the weekend. We haven't written docs yet, but it's pretty simple:
1) Go to Settings > Surcharges & Discounts and add one
2) Select the Discount type
3) Select Applied by Discount Code and enter the code
Once you have discount codes that apply to a property, the discount code box will appear on the guest form for a quote as well as on the book now widget. The discount code box won't show if there are no applicable discounts.
The other thing to keep in mind is that a discount code will override any other discount on the quote. So if you have a last minute discount or something, and the guest enters a discount by code, it would replace the other discount instead of stacking with it.
Create a quote with yourself as the guest and/or use the booking widget. The rate tester doesn't currently have a discount code field, but great idea!

Slightly odd behavior, though...if I add a, say, 5% surcharge, it adds 5% to the rent only, but if I add a 5% discount code, it takes 5% off of the rent *and* the cleaning fee.
Seems that this should be something that is selectable. Or at the least, it should work the other way--I don't want to discount my cleaning fee, because that goes straight to my housekeepers, whereas a surcharge (like a credit card transaction surcharge) should apply to the whole bill.
I agree, I'd like to be able to specify that the discount should be applied to the amount of the rent only. But thanks for getting this feature created, it is great!
I see the status states that this feature has been released. But I'm not finding the directions on how to do this. Please point me in the correct direction or list it here.
