All of my owners have asked why the Owner Dashboard shows revenue that's not necessarily true to the payout. This is because the revenue includes the cleaning fee and only takes out the management fee. This creates a false dashboard of what is projected each month since they cannot see how much cleaning fee will be removed from their "Revenue." If we have the ability to customize the Owner Dashboard, it would really build trust with owners and be a more helpful tool. Today, it's just an overestimate of what they will actually get paid.
The Owner Dashboard currently raises more questions than answers for Owners, we had to disable it. We would like it to match what we see as managers from the Reports > Summary Reports > Bookings, Compare with Previous Year (yes).
Has anything ever come of this? The dashboard has caused way more issues than benefits because of the inaccuracy of revenue. Our owner dashboard appears to not show VRBO bookings that aren't paid in full. So I am fielding calls about revenue issues that are totally unwarranted.
I use the line item pivot report instead of statements because OR cannot automatically account for the split in Airbnb where you can have your payout from Airbnb sent to two separate accounts, I use that report every month and I have to manually edit in excel to deduct the cleaning fees from the owner payout and add it to the PM total.
It doesn't make sense that I have to do that since I have the cleaning fee set to no commission and all goes to PM. Why does still shows up under Owner amount? I didn't know that it shows up the same way in Owner Dashboard.
There has to be a better way to account for whoever receives the cleaning fees. Or any other surcharge to go to PM in full. I have the cancellation fee set up to go to PM with no commission and it still gets split and put under PM amount & owner amount.
I have mentioned it in support group and mentioned to OR support about it, with no resolution so I'm glad I'm not the only one anymore that sees this as an issue.
