Google Home or Smart Plug / Switch Integration

I'd love to see an integration with Google Home or one of the bigger Smart Plug or Smart Switch makers (like Tapo). 

Specifically, I'd love to set up an "away" routine that turns lights on randomly to simulate a presence. Ideally, this routine would be triggered by the check-in and check-out dates. 

I'd also love to see a similar trigger possible for thermostats.
