Airbnb is holding the money in trust, not us and we have no custody or control over that money, so it doesn't make any sense to present on the balance sheet as undeposited funds for the time period between when the payment is collected by Airbnb and when it is actually received by us. As we know from COVID, there is always the risk that Airbnb changes their policy and those funds are never received. I note that there has been some inconsistency on this in the past and it seems like the treatment has not always been consistent. I would like the ability to have the payment date set to the date that Airbnb releases funds to us.
