Website Cropping Hero Images

Is there a way to change the size of the hero images on the home page of the website? They are cropped so the bottom is missing. If not, can they at least be centered so the top and bottom are cropped equally?

Better - you can upload a custom set of images to be used in the Hero Unit, cropped however you prefer:
