First post… just getting up to speed. For reference, we are ONLY renting via our direct channel. We are not hooked up to VRBO, Airbnb, etc.
For our properties, we invoice once the stay is complete. We don’t want to take deposits or payments in advance of the stay. I can’t figure out how to specify this in our setup.
Specifically, when I go to a Property to set its rules, I must choose a first payment value of $1 or more and a second payment due date of 1 or more days before the start of the stay.
Any suggestions on how to work around this? I wish there was an option where you could just pick to send an invoice post-stay.
Thanks!
This is more or less contrary to a fairly fundamental design principle of OwnerRez - that a payment needs to be made for a booking to be confirmed. This can be overridden manually in several different ways, and, guests can create pending bookings with no initial payment (e.g. when they're paying by check, it may take a week or two for the check to show up in the mail and clear), but no, you can't just let bookings be made automatically with no payments at all.
I'm thinking that the "check" mode may be the workaround for you though, as it would allow your guests to at least make the booking and secure the dates, and then, you could manually adjust the Rules of each booking individually to suit your arrangements.
